Angola has made significant progress in creating a legal, political and programmatic framework on gender equality. This scenario has allowed a strong and concerted engagement of public entities and institutions, as well as the civil and private institutions and the civil society organizations to address gender inequalities and advance women's development.

The Angolan President proposes African solutions to the problems affecting the continent, adding that the commission has a year of many challenges ahead.
