The new measures on pre-packaged products imported came into force in Angola on June 15. The measure will allow Angolans to buy cheaper foreign products on domestic markets. According to the new measures, the import of pre-packaged basic basket products will be mandatorily made in large packages. Economist Hernany Luis says that thismeasure brings new opportunities for the local producers.

La situation des réfugiés en Angola face à la Covid -19 est préoccupante, mais toutefois nous remercions le gouvernement angolais à travers le ministère de l’action sociale de la famille et de la promotion de la femme, qui   apporte de l’aide aux réfugiés. C’est ce qu’a déclaré le coordinateur général des réfugiés en Angola, Kopel Musengele dans une interview au Canal International de la Radio Nationale d’Angola.

The finance minister, Vera Daves said that the country will not get eurobonds to international markets. Vera Daves said that this is part of Angola´s Non Debt Plan to get funding from international markets. According to her, the country will look at the local market to achieve this goal. Vera daves added that the country will count on the the support of its multilateral organizations for funding.

Forecasts for the 2021 leads to the resumption of the positive balance of the payment sheet in the country. This was said by the State Minister for Economic coordination, Manuel Nunes Junior. According to the official, 2020 payment sheet was negative due to the situation of the covid-19 pandemic that hit the country´s economy.
