The United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture is working with the angolan ministry of fisheries and marine resources in the implementation of projects related to blue economy. The two institutions are implementing joint programes with highlight to that related to aquaculture. This was announced by the representative of the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture to Angola, Paulo Dias.

Lobito Corridor is considered as important element to boost trade and investment between Zambia and Angola. The Corridor has made great changes in the self-realization of angola and Zambia in building new economic infrastructure. According to the Political Counselor of the Zambian embassy in Luanda, Russel Chibele, the Lobito Corridor will enable the two countries to trade each other.

The angolan ambassador to Switerzland, Filomena Delgado said that they are mobilizing angolans and swiss businesspeople to invest in the country. Filomena Delgado said that the intention is part of the strategy of active economic diplomacy to attract foreign investors to the country. The angolan diplomat disclosed that businesspeople from the two countries will soon create a chamber of commerce to promote investment.

The implementation of farm field schools has been contributing in the increase of production of the population. The project that is being implemented in six provinces of the country has also contributing for food security and income of the population. This was said by FAO representative to Angola, Paulo Dias.

Foreign entities highlighted the role Angola is playing to address peace and stability on the continent with the involvement of women. This was said in Luanda by the participants of the High Level Women Meeting held last weekend. To the former President of the African Union Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, considered women to be so critical to achieve peace, stability and development.

The angoplan Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Francisco da Cruz highlighted the role Angola has been playing in promoting peace in the Great Lakes region. Francisco da Cruz said that Angola has achieved important landmarks in promoting peace and stability in Africa.
