Kwenda project mitigates the impact of poverty in the communities

The social monetary transfer program Kwenda will spend 15 billion kwanzas in aid to vulnerable families.

The programme is to benefit about 700 thousand households during this year and reach 1 million and 6 hundred families in 2023.

The project has so far been implemented in 17 of the country’s 18 provinces, accounting for 24 municipalities, 101 communes, two thousand 829 villages and neighborhoods.

Economist Hernany Luis said that the project is mitigating the impact of poverty in the communities. Hernany Luis added that one of the best way to erradicate poverty and hunger is to give the right tools to the people to produce agricultural products.
