Staff of the UN Agencies treat patients at Viana female prison

Health professionals and Agencies of the United Nations operating in Angola carried out a routine treatment to the patients at the Female Prison located in Viana district in Luanda.

The group comprising medical doctors from the different agencies treated patients with malaria and held councelling programmes to HIv/Aids patients.

The UNAids Director to Angola, Michel Kouakou said the United Nations will continue to carry out this actions in the future for no one to left behind.

Secretary General of the Gulf of Guinea Commission praises angolan government for its quick response in controling Covid-19

The Secretary General of the Gulf of Guinea Commission, Adenike Florentina Ukonga highlighted the quick response of the angolan government in controling Covid-19 pandemic in the country. Adenike Ukonga admitted that the government is doing very by putting in place several measures to reduce the spread of the pandemic. She also praised the role the population played in going along with the measures set by the government.
