Agriculture is a key pillar for economic diversification

Angola is focused on continuing to diversify its economy by strengthening the non-oil sector.

Under this diversification process, agriculture is seen as one of the main gate to lead this change by implementing projects aimed at promoting local production.

In this framework, the UN organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) has been implementing several projects to help improve agriculture in the country.

According to the FAO representative to Angola, Gherda Najina agriculture is one of the main goals for the government to achieve the economic diversification.
