The President of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, is currently on a state visit to the Republic of Angola, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
His coming to this Southern African natio nis intended for strengthening the existing friendship and cooperation ties between the two Portuguese-speaking countries.
The Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs refers in a note that the visit program, which runs until Wednesday (January 12), consist of a visit by José Maria Neves to the António Agostinho Neto Memorial.
The program indicates that, at the Memorial, the Cape Verdean Head of State will place a wreath of flowers in the sarcophagus of the first President of Angola.
The visit’s agenda includes official talks between delegations from both countries, at the Presidential Palace, in Luanda, and a participation at an extraordinary plenary session of the Angolan National Assembly, during which José Maria Neves, delivered a speech.
