At least 12 thousand families affected by hunger, due to the lack of rainfall in 2021, in Caála municipality of Huambo province, have benefited from assorted goods for basic needs.

The move by the local administration is the outcome of actions meant for combating poverty, in that region of the country.

The refered families received food, improved maize seeds, fertilizers, among others.

The 12 thousand families were forced to stop cultivating the land due to the fact that, for some time, there was no rainfall in their regions of origin.
