Kwenda to reach more than one million families by 2023

The social monetary transfer program Kwenda expects to spend 15 billion kwanzas in aid to vulnerable families.

The programme is to benefit about 700 thousand households during this year and reach 1 million and 6 hundred families in 2023.

Kwenda is valued at 420 million US dollars of which 320 million is a repayable loan from the World Bank and 100 million US Dollars from the National Treasury, which is being implemented during the 2019 – 2023 period.

According to the State minister for the Social Area, Carolina Cerqueira, Kwenda has recorded positive results.
