Apopo Project manager, Manuel Joao Agostinho said that his organization is ready to clear Kuanza Sul province with landmines by 2021.
According to him, Kuanza Sul is the third most contaminated region with landmines in the country with one hundred and 23 fields.
Manuel Joao Agostinho said that his organization is committed to help Angola to be free from explosive devices by 2025.

Japan has already invested about 20 million US dollars in demining projects in Angola. According to the japenese diplomat, they have recently donated about 2 million US dollars for demining programmes in the country. Maruhashi Jiro added that his government has also implemeting projects in the sectors of education, health, agriculture and infrastructures.
