Angola will maintain its efforts to boost the profitability of the oil market

The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, declared that Angola will maintain its efforts to boost the profitability of the oil market, taking into account the current economic and financial situation.

Speaking at the 23rd meeting of OPEC and its Non-OPEC partners, held in Vienna, Austria, Diamantino Azevedo stressed that the expectations of global demand in the oil market, is around 96 million barrels per day, but produced four million below pre-pandemic projections in 2020.

According to him, OPEC’s projections for growth in demand for crude oil in 2021, is around 5.9 million barrels per day, given the devastation of the market this year, which has started a new important stage of production adjustments.
