Angola has 340 thousand people living with HIV

The world is celebrated the Aids Day under the theme:  global solidarity and shared responsibility.

HIV continues to be a major global public health issue, having claimed almost 33 million lives so far.

There were an estimated 38.0 million people living with HIV at the end of 2019.

In Angola there are about 340 thousand of people living with HIV.

According to the Director of the United Nations Programmes on HIV/Aids, Michel Kouakou, the prelevance rate of infected people aged between 15 to 49 remains at 2 percent for many years.
