Angola to lead the ICGLR in the next two years

Angola took over the leadership of the International Conference on the Great Lakes (ICGLR) for the second time.

This position is now assumed by President Joao Lourenço following the last summit of the head of states and government held by video conference from Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.

During the summit, the heads of states and government of the ICGLR also approved and confirmed the position of the Angolan, Joao Samuel Caholo as the Executive Secretary of the organization.

Rwandan ambassador to Angola, Wellars Gasamagera highlights Angola´s capacity, adding that Angola has a strong capacity in managing and mediating conflict resolution in Africa.
