ADPP runs campaign programmes against HIV in the communities

The Aid for Development of People to People (ADPP) has been carrying out prevention programmes against HIV/Aids in the communities.

The programme, carried out in six provinces of the country, is directed to young girls and boys on how to protect themselves against the disease.

According to ADPP CEO, Rikki Viholm, the project is targetting the youth inside and outside the education system.

Angola remains with HIV prevalance rate of 2 percent

Angola has a record about 3 hundred and forty thousand people living with HIV/Aids. The prelevance rate of infected people aged between 15 to 49 remains at 2 percent for many years. This was announced by the Director of the United Nations Programmes on HIV/Aids, Michel Kouakou. The official went on saying that from this figure only 60 percent of the infected people know about their seriological state.
