The angolan head of state, João Lourenço is to assume this month the rotating presidency of the African Union (AU). The event will take place during the 38th ordinary Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union, set for 15 and 16 february in Addis Ababa. Diplomats serving in Angola are proud for President Joao Lourenço to lead the organization in the next 12 months.
National Bank foresees a 3.5 percent growth of the Gross Domestic Product
Forecasts from the National Bank of Angola (BNA) indicate that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will record a growth of 3.5% this year. The National Bank points that this growth will happen as a result of several combined factors. According to the governor of the National Bank of Angola, Manuel Tiago Dias, the non-oil sector will be the main contributor to the increase of the GDP, with estimation of 4.24%.
