Mais de trezentos mil casos de cólera e mais de duzentas mortes, foram relatados em 26 países entre Janeiro e Julho. A Informação é da Organização Mundial da Saúde, que aponta a região do mediterrâneo oriental como a zona que mais casos registou seguido de africa.
