Angola head of state condemns terrorism

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, spoke at the eighty-first session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, which is taking place at the organization’s headquarters in New York, United States of America.

During his speech, the head of state condemned terrorism. Mr. Lourenço also reported that our paradigm for peacebuilding initiatives is based on the search for realistic and sustainable solutions, within the principle of African solutions to conflicts in Africa.

The Angolan president also said that today, we live in an environment of global anarchy in which the use of force prevails over the force of reason and of law, in blatant opposition to the norms governing international relations.
