The Executive branch intends to strengthen the attraction of private investment to the tourism sector, focusing on boosting areas considered strategic for the development of national tourism activity. The measure was considered on Thursday during the 3rd Ordinary Meeting of the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers, held in the Meeting Room of the Presidential Palace, under the guidance of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
According to the measures considered, after consolidating the components of promoting Angola as a tourist destination and public investment in the sector, the priority now is to create conditions to attract private investors to tourist areas. Among the priority areas are event tourism, sun and beach tourism, nature tourism, as well as the luxury and wellness segments, considered to have the potential to diversify the tourism offer and increase the capacity to attract visitors and investments, Angola´s National Paper Online learned from an official source.
