Angola To Submit National Climate Change Plan This Year

Meanwhile, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, announced that the country will submit its National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change to the United Nations Framework Convention by September.

The plan will reflect the actions to be implemented in the areas of agriculture and food security, water resources, resilient infrastructure, ocean protection and public health.

João Lourenço made this announcement while addressing the Leaders’ Meeting on Climate Change.

The event was a joint initiative of the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, and the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva and brought together statesmen from China Xi Jin Ping, Emmanuel Macron from France and Samia Suhulu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania among other personalities.
