The local governing council met recently in the municipality of Cassengo, province of Lunda-Sul, for its 1st ordinary meeting of 2025. The meeting, chaired by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, served to evaluate the implementation of the new Political-Administrative division and to deal with several fundamental matters for Public Administration and the development of the country.

During the meeting, which took place behind closed doors, a set of documents were assessed and approved aimed at materializing the tasks foreseen in the Action Plan for the Implementation of the new Political-Administrative Division.

The works on the new Saurimo ring road, in the province of Lunda-Sul, with a length of 36 kilometres, started in 2020, to be inaugurated today by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, are budgeted at 42 billion 154 million 260 thousand kwanzas.

The project, with the characteristics of a motorway, has two lanes of 12 metres wide each, roundabouts, shoulders and four bridges over the Candembe, Txahungo and Luari rivers.

PR dá luz verde para o reinício das obras do Estádio Nacional de Saurimo paralisadas há 10 anos

O presidente da República, João Lourenço, orientou esta segunda-feira, o reatamento das obras de construção do Estádio Nacional de Saurimo, na Província da Lunda-Sul, com capacidade de 25 mil lugares. As obras da infraestrutura desportiva estão paralisadas desde 2015. Segundo o Governador da Lunda-Sul, Daniel Félix Neto, a entrada em funcionamento desta importante infraestrutura vai permitir a massificação do desporto na região Leste. Clique no áudio e ouça:
