The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, inaugurated in Calumbo, municipality of Viana, in Luanda, the first phase of the Specialized Center for the Treatment of Endemic Diseases and Pandemics.

The health infrastructure has 1,300 beds, a blood bank, administration, residences for doctors, among other support areas.

On the occasion, the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, said that the inaugurated unit “constitutes an honor and privilege, because it sets a concrete example of the Executive’s strong commitment to building a resilient health system” and for taking place on the day when celebrates 46 years of independence.
